Playback is a native macOS app that processes your recordings on your device. Editing, auto-zoom, redaction, captions, and export all run locally. This Privacy Policy explains the limited information we do collect when you use our website, purchase a license, or contact us.

2. Information we collect

• Account and billing details you provide when you purchase a plan, handled by our payment processor.
• Support communications, such as emails you send us and the context you include.
• Basic website analytics — aggregate, privacy-respecting metrics about page visits, without cross-site tracking.
• Diagnostic reports only if you opt in to send them; these never include your recordings.

3. What we do not collect

Your recordings stay on your Mac. Playback does not upload, stream, or store your screen captures on our servers as part of normal use. Features that would transmit content off your device are clearly labeled and require your action.

4. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To process payments and deliver license keys.
• To respond to support requests and communicate important updates.
• To detect, prevent, and address security or abuse issues.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Service — such as payment and email providers — under contracts that limit their use of it, or when required by law.

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete information that we are not required to retain.
